Gone Country with Lots of Laughs

OK, so I was all ready country, but last night Jared, Rikki, Cassie (my sisters) and I went to see Toby Keith and Trace Atkins. We had a lot of fun, and the concert was good, but I think the best part of the night was people watching, it amazes me what people wear and I'm guessing they think they look good. But the one decision that we made is next time we are going to make a red neck bingo game. With a few of the following, but not limited to: skullets, mullets, femulets, camo, no shirt, denim shirts with the sleeves ripped off, the coolest motorcycle jacket, and the not so coolest. The best/worst sayings on shirts, matching outfits, awesome hats I am sure you get the idea and you have probably all seen them or at least no what I am talking about!!!

JUST LIFE

I wish life would slow down just a little bit. Either that or my feet need to move as fast as my mind. Courtney is starting Jr. high in a week. She is growing up so fast. She participates in a 4h class and made a skirt for the county fair, it is cute and she won a high blue ribbon for it. This means that it will be at the state fair in September. Wow! I guess that means we are going to the state fair.

This summer has flown by, Zach had baseball until the second to last week in July and that is what we did almost every night. It sure was a fun time, and I do enjoy the game a lot more, I even watched part of the Major league baseball All stars game, which is a huge stretch for me I used to think it was pretty boring, who knew a little league team could change my mind.

We went to the condo with Jared's family again this year I guess you could call that our Stoker reunion. We also spent some time with the Olson side doing some activities around Salt Lake.

I also started working from home, just one day a week, doing some computer work for a woman in my parents ward. I used to work for her about 6 years ago, give or take a year or two. She needed some help and since we had to buy Jared a new car, I also needed to help. It has been going pretty well and isn't hard, I have just had to get used to sitting in front of a computer. I don't know how people do it everyday for a living. CRAZY!

Best Summer day Ever!

This is on happy little dude!
My kids have a favorite song by Brad Paisley "International Harvester". Which they all love to sing at the top of their lungs. This combined with Tyler's love for any kind of large equipment, Along with an Uncle who understands these things, made riding in an International about the coolest thing ever for one little boy!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

The best looking guy on the team. I might be a little biased.

One of the guys on the team, his family owns this bus, and they took them to a few of the games, the best part about it was when the other team would see it rolling in and complain to their coaches about wanting them to rent a bus. "No fair coach, their coach rented them a bus, when are you going to rent us a bus!"

Run Zach run!!!

This season was amazing, we (by we I mean Zach of coarse!) had a great season, great coaches, great players and great parents! Zach got to play out field and second the most but he also pitched 2 innings, played third and shortstop where he even got a double play. His team finished the season and the tournament in 3rd place, WAY TO GO PADRES and WAY TO GO SMACK!

Temple Square

We took our kids to The Church History Museum and they had a great time. If you haven't been lately they have a large area upstairs just for the kids. But our favorite part was when Kenzie got to see the "Actual Moroni" (AKA the Angel Moroni)Tyler had read in the friend about the North Visitors Center and was thrilled when we went to see it also, it was fun to hear him tell us what he had read and then to be able to show it to him, he was in awe. It had been a long time since we had walked through the visitors center, it has changed a lot since I was a kid. Lots and lots of updates, I would recommend checking them both out!

I should not be a BLOGGER!

I was talking to a friend yesterday and she informed me that I had not updated for a while. I guess she is right. Sometimes life is just way to overwhelming to throw one more thing into the mix, I will try to be better. It might be a little easier now that we have entered this century. We no longer have dial-up (for those of you gasping, yea, it still exists!) We have now entered the real world.
Here is a quick recap of our lives.

Jared- Is still working, and he is still the Stake Sunday School President
Erin- Is going to start working, from home about 10-15 hours a week, and she is still the Primary President, and as crazy as it sounds she loves it.
Courtney- Is registered for Jr. High, and counting down the days until summer starts and elementary school is over. She also is on an age group swim team and is getting pretty good, she loves the water! She is turning into a beautiful you lady, with an attitude.
Zachary- lives for and loves baseball, and when he's not doing that he is tormenting his siblings, which he also lives for.
Tyler- He's just Ty, he loves life, and learning and being outside.
Kenzie- Well we love her and we have a new motto for her "Pink isn't a color it is an attitude:)" She keeps us in stitches. The other day she pointed to herself and said, "This is my Mothers daughter."
We love them all. And that as they say in show business IS A WRAP!

Texter in "Training"

Where all your dreams come true.

Hey Karmen!

Karmen, are you out there? If so this is for you. It always amazes me who you run into when you are on vacation. Recognize anyone?

More Disney memories!

Word to the wise, Do Not Stand Under Trees at Disneyland. Nothing good will come of it!!!

Erin, Jared, Court, Zach, Tyler, Kenz, Grandpa Scott, Grandma Melody, Rikki, Marcia, and Gary

Hey Kids Guess What?

They only good thing about getting up at 4:00 am is surprising your children. When the surprise turns out to be a trip to Disneyland everyone is happy. And of coarse only happy kids get to go to Disneyland. We had been planning this trip for about a year and a half, and it was hard to keep a secret. Then when other relatives decide to come it becomes even harder. but it was all worth it. The long dive, the excited smiles, happy children, Mickey and Minnie, lots of rain, short lines, more rain, emergency preparedness ponchos, late nights tired kids, wet tennis shoes, shuttle buses, more rain, tea cups, princesses, the list could go on and on, but its the pictures that are worth a 1000 words.
